Frequently Asked Questions — Web Design for the UK

Common questions about our website design services for UK small businesses — payment, pricing, timelines, what's included, and ongoing support.

How does payment work? Is there a catch?

There is no catch. We start with a complete plan, strategy and proposal for your website. Payment is then split into two simple stages — the first part to begin the work, and the balance on completion. Nothing goes live on your domain until both stages are settled.

What exactly is included in the price?

The price includes everything you need for the first year: Design and build of your website, Hosting, Domain, Business email setup (basic), Content for the site (based on information you provide). You don't have to arrange anything separately to get a working website online.

Are there any costs after the first year?

Yes, but they are simple and fixed. From the second year, your website runs on an annual service plan of £ 130, which covers: Hosting, Domain, Business email, Technical maintenance and basic support.

What is NOT included in the website packages?

The following are not included unless we agree on them separately: Paid advertising (Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc.), Ongoing marketing and content campaigns, Complex custom systems or integrations beyond a standard business website.

Do I need any technical knowledge to work with you?

No. Most of our clients are not technical. We explain everything in plain English and handle the technical side for you.

What do you need from me, and what if I don't know what website I need?

To start, we just need: Basic information about your business, What you sell or offer, What you want the website to achieve (calls, bookings, enquiries, sales). If you're not sure what kind of website you need, that's fine. We ask a few simple questions about your business and budget and suggest a practical solution.

What is the process from start to finish?

Short conversation about your business and goals. We design and build a full test version of your website. You get a private preview link to review everything. You send feedback; we make reasonable revisions. You approve the final version and pay. We connect your domain, email and hosting, and launch the site live.

How long does it take, and can I request changes?

Most websites take about 7–15 days. Timing depends on the size of the site and how quickly we receive your feedback. You can request changes during the process — feedback and edits are a normal part of the work.

Will my website work on mobile and be SEO-friendly?

Yes. Every website is: Responsive (works on phones, tablets and desktops), Built with clean structure and basic SEO best practices. We don't promise specific Google rankings, but we do set up the technical side correctly.

Can I see examples of websites you've built?

Yes. We can show you real projects so you can see the style and quality before you decide.

Who owns the website, and can I take it over later?

By default, we host and manage the website for you, so you don't have to deal with servers or setup. Your content, logo and business data are yours. If you ever want full control, we can transfer domain, email and hosting access to you or provide a full copy (export) of the site.

Who is this service NOT a good fit for?

It's not a good fit for: Anyone looking for the absolute cheapest website, Anyone expecting instant results without any input from their side. It's designed for business owners who want a clear, fair and low-risk way to get a proper website that actually represents their business.
